Which type of account can I open?

While opening a real account, clients may need clarification about what account type suits their needs and trading strategy best. The account types may depend on the operational company you are registered with. Please check our website to see the available account types.

What types of accounts do Admirals offer?

The account types are divided into two groups: Trading and Investment. The Trading accounts are the Trade and Zero accounts available for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, while the Invest.MT5 is our investment account, where you can invest in stocks and ETFs.

What is the difference between each type of account?

Kindly note that product offerings may vary depending on the operational company you are registered with.

Please check below the main characteristics of each type of account:

  • Trade.MT5: a trading account with market execution that offers trading in Forex and CFDs on indices, stocks, ETFs, commodities, bonds and cryptocurrencies.

In this account type, you will not have to pay transaction commissions on most instruments. Transaction fees will be applied only to CFDs on stocks and ETFs.

  • Trade. MT4: market execution trading account like the Trade.MT5 type account, although it offers fewer instruments than this one. You can trade Forex, and CFDs on indices, stocks, commodities, bonds, and cryptocurrencies.

  • Zero.MT5: a trading account with market execution that offers trading in Forex and CFDs on Cash Index and commodities. In this account type, the spread is smaller than in the Trade.MT5 type account, but you must pay a commission per transaction.

Thanks to its reduced spread, this account type can be interesting for active scalpers and traders who operate with automatic systems.

  • Zero.MT4: market execution trading account like the Zero.MT5 type account, although it offers a smaller number of instruments. In this account, you can trade on Forex and CFDs on Cash Index and commodities.

  • Invest.MT5: Exchange execution investment account that allows you to trade without leverage on the main stock markets through spot stocks and ETFs. In this account type, a transaction fee also applies.

If you want more information about the products offered in each type of account, visit the “Contract Specifications” section on our website.

What platform should I use for each type of account?

In Admirals, we have different types of platforms, so each type of account can work with several of them. Let's see the following summary below:

  • Trade.MT4 and Zero.MT4 accounts can work on the MetaTrader 4 platform, Webtrader and the app of MetaTrader 4 for mobile devices.

  • Trade.MT5 and Invest.MT5 accounts can work on the MetaTrader 5 platform, Webtrader and the app of MetaTrader 5 for mobile devices. In addition, they are also available for Admirals platforms both in their web version and in the application for mobile devices.

  • Zero.MT5 accounts can work on the MetaTrader 5 platform, Webtrader and the app of MetaTrader 5 for mobile devices.

Therefore, if we try to connect an account on a platform that does not correspond to it, we will get the resulting error message and it will not be possible to log in.

What happens if I connect my Zero account and the chart does not work?

The most common problem that we face while connecting our Zero.MT4 or Zero.MT5 account in MetaTrader is that we either do not find the corresponding instruments for this account, the chart does not update, or we get a message like the following one:

chart metatrader

This happens because of the instruments of the Zero.MT4 and Zero.MT5 accounts have the ending "-Z".

To add these instruments to the Market Watch please follow the below steps:

  1. Right-click on "Market Watch"

  2. Select "Show all" and then open the charts of the instruments with the correct ending “-Z”.
