The investor password is one of the two main passwords used for authorisation in MetaTrader. Its purpose is to grant access to simply track a trading account, without the ability to make trading transactions.
The investor password is created automatically when the client creates the trading account and is included in the account details information.
Where can I see the investor password?
You can view the investor password for your trading account within the MetaTrader platform in the following ways:
Going to the "Mailbox" section in Toolbox
Opening the first message for Account registration.
How can I change the investor password?
In order to change the investor password, log in to the MetaTrader platform, then follow the below steps:
Go to the "Tools" tab on top and select "Options"
Open the "Server" section
Next to the password click "Change" and select "Change investor password"
In the "Current password" section you must enter the main password to your trading account
Enter the new investor password and click the "OK" button.
